In 1920, the California Real Estate Association (as C.A.R. was known then) launched its first issue of the News Bulletin to its few hundred members. Now in full-color, with glossy pages and called California Real Estate magazine, the publication is barely recognizable from its early days as a four-page, black-and-white bulletin.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the magazine: Ten decades of producing timely, industry-related articles and stories of REALTORS® finding success inside and outside of work. A lot has changed since 1920, but the one thing that has not is the driving force behind this magazine: our members. CAR will be celebrating all year long, leading up to the magazine’s official birthday party in October at the REimagine! Conference and Expo. Help CAR celebrate their 100th birthday all year and keep an eye out for birthday updates from our marketing team in your mailbox, inbox and on social media.
