It’s that time of year again – time for C.A.R.’s annual consumer advertising campaign which promotes the value of working with a California REALTOR®.

C.A.R. is continuing with the “long story” commercials that first aired last year and resonated so well with members and consumers. View the commercials.

The 2016 campaign launches tomorrow morning in the Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, and San Francisco markets, and will be seen and heard throughout the state millions of times. The message will be propelled by two TV commercials running on NBC, HGTV and Bravo; four custom 30-second vignettes featuring television host, author, and REALTOR® Egypt Sherrod providing tips to first-time home buyers; a radio partnership with iHeartRadio; and a massive digital presence on REALTOR.com, Curbed.com, Hulu and Google. Learn when you can watch the television commercials: NBC in Los Angeles, cable in Los Angeles, NBC in San Francisco, cable in San Francisco, NBC in San Diego, cable in San Diego, NBC in Sacramento, and cable in Sacramento. Remember that these schedules change weekly, so be sure to visit car.org for your weekly schedules.

Building on the previous success of the Friday afternoon drive-time roadblock, C.A.R. has once again purchased airtime on multiple radio stations within the same markets. Through this roadblock, C.A.R. is ensuring that the spots will be heard, even by station-surfing drivers. Click here to find out when and where you can tune in to hear the radio ads.

New this year, C.A.R. is layering in radio spots for streaming radio stations. This addition will expand the campaign’s reach by 75 percent.

All of these touch points, as well as content on social media, will extend the message and influence consumers statewide.

As in previous years, C.A.R. once again will launch a tool tied to the ad campaign. This year’s tool will launch at the end of April and is called CARmojis. This is a real-estate centric emoji keyboard for your smartphone and will have emojis such as a Super REALTOR® to denote your superhero status, a Sold sign, an Open House sign, a fireplace, house keys, a pool, and many more. Be on the lookout for information about this tool and how to access it.

When you download the CARmojis tool to your smartphone, you’ll also have access to digital stickers. These “stickers” are images that can be placed on a digital photo for you to share. The stickers will include the popular “Who’s Your REALTOR®” messaging, as well as “New Listing,” “Sold,” and the like.

As always, C.A.R. encourages you to use this campaign in your own marketing materials to promote the value that you bring to the transaction.
